My name is Hadas Katz and I’m the owner of Katz and Birds.

I’ve always had a "passion for fashion" and a great love for shoes. I studied shoe and fashion design at Shenkar College of Design and Engineering in Israel.

After working as a designer for two companies, I decided to create my own label. I wanted to offer my clientele a shoe that has it all—comfort and style. A mix of elegant, classic design, with a twist! A progressive touch and an upbeat vibe that has never been seen before.

My goal is to create shoes that are great for walking around in the city all day long, yet are beautiful and complementary to your outfit or evening attire.

I wear mostly flat shoes. I believe in comfort, and I know that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort to wear fashionable clothing accessories.

Shoes are the finishing touch, with the ability to enhance your look and lend sophistication to upgrade every outfit to the extraordinary.

All of my products are handmade the traditional way, beautifully crafted using soft, high-quality materials.

My shoe last is shaped like a bird’s beak, and designed to leave enough room for your toes and bones, always keeping your comfort in mind.

I work in Tel Aviv, side by side with our wonderful shoemaker, who has learned this profession from his father.

In my free time you’ll find me enjoying the company of my husband, our two cats and our golden retriever. We live and work in beautiful Tel Aviv. I have been a vegan for the past seven years. I love all kinds of arts and crafts and I draw inspiration from nature, animals and design.

In my collection you will be able to find some clean, elegant, sexy designer looks, next to classics, manly Oxfords, with an edgy twist.

Part of the collection includes charming, artistic, unique and original designs.

For me personally, this brand is so much more than a business; it is a way to get excitement and aesthetics into our lives.. It's a way to celebrate femininity and make a person feel beautiful.
